Quick Rant
This rant has to be quick because I live in the Eastern Time Zone now. Which means it’s an hour later than it should be, and way past my normal bedtime. And here are the reasons I hate that. (just the time zone itself…I like living here most days minus that)
1. It’s dark until 7:15 every morning, which is right before I leave for work. It’s dark at 5:45 every night, right before I leave to come home. Which means 0 exercise.
2. Nothing good comes on TV until at least 8:00 and the best stuff comes on at 10:00. This grandma is ready for bed by then, but I’ve been forcing myself to stay up at least once a week…sometimes twice.
3. A normal dinner time, like 6:00 feels waaaay too early to me now.
4. It’s so dark and cold at night, there is nothing to do except huddle inside, drink too much wine, and wait for the good TV to come on. Forget a pre-dinner walk or anything.
5. Again I’ll mention the TV timing thing. Like right now, I’ve stayed up through the whole Super Bowl to watch Glee but now I’m too tired to watch it. I could stay up, but the thought of 6 hours of sleep makes tomorrow already feel miserable.
I know, I know…it’s called a DVR. In my life right now it’s called “lucky to have a tv at all, don’t even think about adding an extra feature”. So I’ll suck it up and watch Hulu at some point, or buy the season on DVD at some point. And for now I’ll go to bed and stew about the Eastern Time zone.
